Gumley Haft- Kleier and One Thousand Ocean Enter Into Strategic Alliance

Posted on April 1, 2011 | Read time: 4 minutes

One Thousand Ocean, the landmark Atlantic Ocean-to-Intracoastal condominium situated on the tip of a private peninsula at the Boca Raton Inlet, has established a strategic relationship with one of Manhattan’s top boutique real estate brokerage firms, Gumley Haft Kleier.

Michele Kleier, resident and chairman of the firm, along with her husband Ian Kleier and daughters Samantha Kleier-Forbes and Sabrina Kleier-Morgenstern, are also recognized as stars of Selling New York, one of HGTV’s top-rated shows. Specializing in residential properties throughout Manhattan, including cooperative, condominium, town house, apartment, and loft real estate, the Kleiers know that audience of approximately 2 million viewers each week want to see costly, ultra-high-end residences within impressive buildings.

A masterpiece of cutting-edge contemporary design, One Thousand Ocean has been among them, even though it is not located in the Big Apple. The uniquely designed, seven-story, nautilus-shaped condominium building featuring 52 residences was developed by an affiliate of LXR Luxury Resorts. According to Jamie Telchin, LXR’s president of development, the Kleiers have a strong and longstanding connection to Boca Raton. “They have been frequent visitors here and subsequently bought property in the area. They also have high-net-worth New York clients with high expectations who seek properties in prestigious Boca Raton,” he pointed out.

“We expect that this alliance will bring future interest in One Thousand Ocean from the New York market,” Telchin said.

The Kleiers had arranged for Selling New York to film a segment at One Thousand Ocean during a visit to South Florida in January 2010. The segment aired for the first time on May 6, 2010, during the show’s inaugural season.

“That was before this extraordinary oceanfront building was completed,” said Michele Kleier, a major force in Manhattan real estate for more than 25 years. “Since then, our family has been back in Boca and recently had the opportunity to revisit One Thousand Ocean. We were even more impressed now that it is 65 percent sold and being enjoyed by many of its residents.”

The Kleiers and One Thousand Ocean co-hosted an event for top New York brokers, agents and prospects at The London Hotel in midtown Manhattan on March 7, which will be filmed for Selling New York. The London is one of approximately 30 hotels and resorts in LXR’s portfolio in the United States and Caribbean. LXR’s flagship resort property is the internationally acclaimed Boca Raton Resort & Club, located just across the Intracoastal Waterway from One Thousand Ocean. The Resort’s Boca Beach Club is immediately adjacent to One Thousand Ocean.

“We then will return to One Thousand Ocean with the film crew at the end of March to again film the building. We plan to include a party that will take place in the largest penthouse,” Kleier noted.

Continuing, she said, “Through the years we have spent a lot of vacation time at the Boca Raton Resort where we still enjoy the beach and other world-class amenities. My daughters have fond memories of when they brought beach chairs and sat out by the jetty by the same inlet that One Thousand Ocean overlooks. So there’s definitely a connection between us and this property, which is one of the many reasons we are excited to tell others about it.”

One Thousand Ocean residents who are, or who elect to enjoy private membership privileges at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, have access to its world-class services and amenities, including those at the Boca Beach Club.

Providing stunning panoramas of sea, sky and city, One Thousand Ocean offers extraordinary Residences, one-and two-story Beach Villas and the exclusive Penthouse Collection. Prices are from approximately $3 million to $15 million. While the popular Residences and Beach Villas average 4,000 square feet under air, the penthouses provide an average of approximately 7,220 air-conditioned square feet.

Most residences have a private elevator landing, floor-to-ceiling expanses of glass, fireplaces, and a private two-car garage. There are also oversized terraces with a private, heated and jetted plunge pool, and an outdoor kitchen. “These outdoor space are wonderful, whether you want to relax, watch the yachts cruise by, or entertain,” Telchin said.

“One Thousand Ocean buyers are just as passionate about how they live as about where they live. This property is indisputably a canvas for living well,” he concluded.

Located at and a part of One Thousand Ocean, the Ocean Club allows residents to use the fitness center with aerobics, yoga and Pilates rooms, cardio/free-weight and training area, spa treatment suite, and steam and sauna rooms. This amenity area also has a lounge with catering kitchen, conference room, and multipurpose room. The building has an oceanfront pool and sun deck, pool butlers, private cabanas, onsite management, a 24-hour desk attendant, full-time concierge, valet parking, and patrol services.
